The MRFA and 9th Infantry Division will be placing wreaths at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2008. We will be gathering at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at 8:30 A.M. on the 11th, and proceed to The Wall at 9:00 A.M.

We have blocked 40 rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington/Courthouse Plaza in Arlington, Virginia for November 8th - 11th. Room rates are $119.00 (plus tax) per night. The MRFA will have a hospitality room available on November 9th and 10th.

Michael Connolly, Capt. (USN Ret.), and former Commander of River Assault Squadron 13, will be the spokesperson during the laying of the Navy wreath at “The Wall” on November 11, 2008. The Navy wreath will be placed in front of panel 16W, 90, of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to honor LTJG JAMES FRANCIS ROST JR. killed in action on November 17, 1969 on the Vinh Te Canal between Chau Doc and Ha Tien in Vinh Long Province.
