“KID” Photos
This grouping of photos were taken by our Members during a time when war was raging all around them. The “Kids” represented an innocence that we all began to lose when we were initially confronted with our own personal “Baptism of Fire”. May we all appreciate the efforts of the individual photographers who caught these images during a very difficult time in their lives. Many were only teenagers themselves.
“Dong” Photo by Bill Reynolds. “Dong lived in the little village next to Dong Tam where the dredge operated and when we were guarding the ‘pipe’ there, anytime we wanted a pineapple, coke or beer this little guy would hustle like crazy to get it.”
